Career Pathways for Healthcare Workers Program

In 2022, the Maryland General Assembly enacted Senate Bill 518 - Career Pathways for Healthcare Workers Program, which established the Career Pathways for Healthcare Workers Program. The purpose of the program is to provide matching grants to eligible employers that pay for training programs attended by health care workers, resulting in increased opportunities for health care workers to receive training across the State.

The Department released a call for proposals on May 15, 2023. Applications will be due on July 28, 2023, and grants will begin on October 1, 2023.

A virtual pre-proposal conference was held on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The PowerPoint and questions and answers can be found below. Questions about the program are being accepted until July 6, 2023.
