Description: WANADA/ADEI supports candidates in securing full-time, paid employment with franchised new-car dealerships. In addition, apprentices participate in a two-year, four-semester registered apprenticeship program with scheduled instruction at one of our campuses. Throughout the program, participants earn multiple industry-recognized credentials and certifications, including those from ASE, various vehicle manufacturers, ADEI, and the Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Council. Apprentices also receive support through a tool stipend program and access to significant discounts from select automotive tool manufacturers. The program is designed to provide a direct pathway into well-paying automotive technician careers while allowing participants to graduate without student debt.

Certifications Earned: Participants can earn Vehicle Manufacturer certifications, ASE certifications, ADEI certifications, and a Maryland Apprenticeship and Training Council Certificate of Completion.
Eligibility: Participants must possess a valid driver’s license in good standing and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Expected Earnings: General certified technicians typically start with annual salaries ranging from $42,000 to $63,000. Specialized ASE Master Technicians often earn higher compensation, typically between $61,838 and over $100,000 per year, depending on experience, location, OEM certifications, and dealership performance incentives.

Description: Carroll Community College provides training for Automotive Technicians, who typically work in well-ventilated, well-lit repair shops, dealership service departments, or other automotive repair facilities. In these roles, technicians inspect vehicles, communicate any issues to drivers, and perform necessary maintenullce to ensure vehicles operate safely and efficiently. They commonly repair and maintain components such as brakes, steering systems, and engines, and may also diagnose and repair electrical systems.

Description: The Full Circle Auto Training Program at Vehicles for Change is a hands-on automotive technician training program designed to prepare participants for entry-level careers in the automotive industry. The program combines classroom instruction with practical shop experience in areas such as preventive maintenullce, brakes, tire services, diagnostics, and Maryland State Inspection preparation. Participants also receive career readiness support, industry exposure, and assistance with employment placement and supportive services to help them achieve long-term career success.
