RCR 26-019 May 7, 2026
Trainer Mark Gray is fined $100.00 for making a late driver change on the May 7th, 2026 racing program at Rosecroft Raceway. All fines must be paid within ten (10) days of the ruling; failure to pay will result in the suspension of the Maryland Racing Commission licensee until payment is received. COMAR: 09.10.02.41C

RCR 26-020 May 14, 2026
Driver Steven Robinson is fined $100.00 for one-handed whipping following the conclusion of the 8th race while driving SLICK FELLA on May 7, 2026, at Rosecroft Raceway. All fines must be paid within ten (10) days of the ruling; failure to pay will result in the suspension of the Maryland Racing Commission licensee until payment is received. COMAR: 09.10.02.33H(17)

RCR 26-021 May 14, 2026
Driver Shane Griffith, having been found in violation of COMAR: 09.10.02.33.H(1)(e), is hereby assessed a fine of $150.00 for causing interference before the ¼ pole. While driving #4 IMAGINARY LINE in the fourth race on May 9, 2026, at Rosecroft Raceway, IMAGINARY LINE repeatedly crowded #3 HONKY TONK FLAME and pushed him inside of the pylons. IMAGINARY LINE was disqualified, finishing third and placed fifth. All fines must be paid within ten (10) days of the ruling; failure to pay will result in the suspension of the Maryland Racing Commission licensee until payment is received.

RCR 26-022 May 14, 2026
Trainer Deshawn Sample was the trainer of record on horse UNCLE DD in the 7th race on April 27, 2026, at Rosecroft Raceway. Pre-race analysis of blood sample #E722670 taken from UNCLE DD identified a TCO2 concentration of 40.3 ± 2.8 mmol/L. This exceeds the maximum TCO2 concentration allowed per Maryland Racing Commission guidelines. As a result, Mr. Sample is fined $1,000.00 and shall return all purse monies. Mr. Sample shall also be issued a 30-day full suspension from May 9, 2026, through and including June 7, 2026. During this suspension, both Mr. Sample and all horses owned and/or trained by him are prohibited from entering any grounds under the jurisdiction of the Maryland Racing Commission. Additionally, UNCLE DD is disqualified, finishing third and shall be placed seventh. UNCLE DD shall also be placed on the steward’s list from May 9, 2026, through and including June 7, 2026. All purse monies must be returned within 72 hours of this issuance, and all fines are due within 10 days of the ruling. COMAR: 09.10.02 Addendum A-11. Four Multiple Medication Violation (MMV) points assessed.

A relicensing hearing in the matter of applicant Bart Bradley was conducted before the Maryland Racing Commission on April 15, 2026. Upon consideration of the sworn testimony, evidence presented, and the record of the proceedings, it is ordered on May 14, 2026, by the Maryland Racing Commission that Mr. Bradley’s application for a license in the State of Maryland is hereby denied. It is further ordered that, pursuant to Business Regulation Article, §11-311 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, a party aggrieved by this decision may take an appeal as allowed by State Government Article, §§10- 222 and 10-223 of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

A relicensing hearing in the matter of applicant Justin Brenneman was conducted before the Maryland Racing Commission on April 15, 2026. Upon consideration of the sworn testimony, evidence presented, and the record of the proceedings, it is ordered on May 14, 2026, by the Maryland Racing Commission that Mr. Brenneman’s application for a license in the State of Maryland is hereby denied. It is further ordered that, pursuant to Business Regulation Article, §11-311 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, a party aggrieved by this decision may take an appeal as allowed by State Government Article, §§10- 222 and 10-223 of the Annotated Code of Maryland.
